In the last 12 hours, 2 different people have asked about the wonderful Prius we're driving around this country. It's been doing great on mileage (around 50mpg, with the AC on at 75 mph). Speed limits are getting higher and higher the further west we go. South Dakota is 75. Indiana was 70. No police in speed traps. I don't want to drive faster than that anyway.
Getting ready to drive into the Badlands now. It's beautiful out right now - sunny and 70+ degrees. Looking like some severe storms are going to be coming through later today and tonight (flood warnings and all), so we're planning on sleeping in the car at our campsite. Lightning and tenting are not a good mix!

Are you going to bring home a baby bison for Pumpkin? He needs a new playmate! All is well here for me.
ReplyDeleteHi Mom, We picked up a couple of baby bison for you. They are all fuzzy like Pumpkin. I'm sitting with Dad at a KOA campsite in the Badlands talking to Mary and Karen now. Picnic lunch. Beautiful here!

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the Prius is doing so well. We haven't been driving ours much the last few days knowing that it's going to get a work out starting Tuesday or Wednesday!
