Badlands Loop Road and WALL DRUG

Sirhc enjoying the view...

We're stuck in a rut of colder/rainier weather it seems. It's windy and raining now, but at least only drizzled off and on today. With Mary Ellen and Karen we got out to do some shorter walks on the Window and Door trails, and drove the Badlands Loop Road to see the whole park from many of the lookouts. So cool!

Also today - a trip to Wall Drug. We talked to Lisa on the phone before she went in. She used the word "epic" to describe Wall Drug. Just you wait. We have set up a little scavenger hunt for when Lisa and Chris get there. We ate pizza in the pizza parlor and had homemade ice cream and malts. Most of Wall Drug was a junky tourist trap, so as long as I didn't look around too much, I was fine. Good food though.

Will I go to Wall Drug again? Not a chance. Unless I need to rescue Lisa from the clutches of T-Rex (which they had - wall-sized plastic T-Rex, who roared every so often...lovely).

Here are some of the interior shots of the log cabin we stayed in. Also, a cute little porch swing.

  2. What a cute little cabin. I loved the porch swing! I'm real sorry I missed Wall Drug. Maybe we can find something as offensive closer to home!

  3. Very funny Mom! I'm pretty sure Walmart would be just as offensive as Wall Drug...
