We left Shelburne, Vermont after a somewhat leisurely morning of packing and are now collapsing into bed in Westlake, Ohio.Along for the ride is a
purple frog named Sirhc Nevets. We'll be following his adventures around the country, as Lisa instructed.
Sirch has been seen on Aminal (the cat-like creature that Chris is holding onto), on Champ, and on the dashboard of the Prius enjoying the ride.
The drive was easy today. Little to no traffic anywhere, even during rush hour in Utica (does anyone live there anymore?). We discovered the wonderfulness of EZ-Pass today. So nice to not have to be counting out cash and quarters at 65mph. Still not nice to have to pay...
We drove about 600 miles and filled the Prius up once, and have a pretty full tank now. Yay for Prius!
Off to sleep now. Dad already fell asleep. I'm about to. Long day of driving tomorrow. Going to attempt to get through Chicago. Looking like some stormy weather coming up. Fun!

Wow!! You guys covered a lot of ground in one day! You're making a beeline for the west - I love it! I particularly liked Sirhc on Champ... Have fun battling your way through Chicago!
